Lily of the Valley

It's a little piece of princess heaven in the midst of the nitty gritty 3rd. Think white terrace tables. Overhanging gardens. Assorted teacups and saucers pretty enough for the Palais Élysées.

Right smack dab in the middle of one of my favorite streets in Paris sits Lily of the Valley, with her ankles crossed daintily like the lady she is. You walk into this little oasis and immediately want to sing "I Feel Pretty" as you twirl underneath the overhanging garden ceiling. At the bar you will find any assortment of dainty ditties for your finger-picking delight. (Pinkies up!) Sample some of the carrot cake and you won't be able to say no to a whole slice.

Choose to sit inside on the floral cushioned benches and profiter from some air conditioning, or soak in some sun and serious fashion statements on the outdoor terrace. When the handsome French red-bearded barista comes to take your order, choose from any of the several teas on the menu, or make it easy and just go with the thé du jour. Fantasize about which of the darling mismatched teacups and teapots will grace your table, then, once your tea arrives, sit back and enjoy the people watching. There is plenty to be had. And though you shouldn't take your teacup with you when you leave (but they're so PRETTY!!!!!), you buy your tea to go, or buy it in bulk to take a little magic of Lily of the Valley home with you. But I'm guessing you'll be back soon, because who doesn't want to sip their tea in the springtime in Paris under a garden?! (Unless you have a garden in your apartment ceiling, then I'm coming over!)
